Hello I hope today has been a good day so far! This entry was made on Sunday June 15th, so I want to take a moment to say Happy Fathers Day to all the Dads and Grandpas out there, and to any Moms who play both roles. Our littles look up to us all so much and I am forever grateful for you! …..
Now lets get back to business, today I wanted to write about Sunday because this is the day that I allow myself to restart, reset, and refocus. After a long week we need at least one day to prepare for the next week..am I right? I don’t have a specific routine or to do list for this because to me its just about going with the flow on this day and getting stuff done. I also believe that everyone needs to make their restart days to suite them not to suite anyone else. Sunday resets are my favorite days, and definitely vital for my lifestyle…that being said I want to share a bit of what this day looks like for me, if you don’t have one of these days set in stone for yourself I highly recommend that you make one and hopefully this can give you some inspiration.
My Sunday mornings are fueled with… you guessed it! Coffee. Every morning I wake up with intention, first things first is getting ready for the day. Get dressed, do my hair, & makeup (only some days) as I like to have a day or two where I just put on a good moisturizer and call it a day, to give my face a break from all the stuff that is actually in our makeup. Next is a good hearty breakfast, my daughter loves our Sunday Breakfasts too… and for todays we are having Bacon, eggs, and pancakes! The rest of the day will be focused on quality family time, cleaning/organizing the home to prepare for the week and also working on my Social media platforms, which I also use to create an extra income! YES it works and it is great to help bring in extra cash, as a stay at home mom this has become a great way to enjoy the little things and not feel the need to worry about money. Our evenings I enjoy a calm night routine of reading, journaling and talking about the day and our goals for the coming week. Once bed time rolls around my Daughter and I read together and cuddle until she is fast asleep, then I honestly go to bed extra early to make sure I am refreshed for the next day.
I hope this gives you some ideas and motivates you to create your own Sunday Reset!
